Aug. 16, Sunnie and I drove down to Chicago to take her dad to the airport. She changed plan, so we stayed there overnight for shopping the next morning. I had my period before we got to our destinaiton, but I thought that it was not easy for my aunt to enjoy shopping on Michigan Avenue. We went to China Town for dinner, but A-Ji-Ichiban was closed already. I took a picture of the store.
Aug. 17, walking all day up and down Michigan Avenue but didn't buy anything. Although I've been to the city twice before, it was my first time being in that particular area. My tummy still did not feel good, besides there wasn't anything that really caught my eyes. I had to cancel my Chinese tutoring and asked for rescheduling. We went to China Town again for dinner. I went to A-Ji-Ichiban to get my favorite plum. Then I drove all the way back, and we got home around midnight.
Aug. 18, the Chinese tutor changed to 9:30 am. It was our last lesson this season, so I was kind of excited. I got a gift package from the family; I love it. Two books, one HelloKitty umbrella, two HelloKitty hairclips, one HelloKitty decoration, and one Thank-You card with signs. Oh, and an envelope with my pay. I was overwhelmed with what I got. The family was getting ready to driving down to Florida to see Disney Land. Later in the day, I went to Borders to get a Chinese phrase book for Megan, because the dictionary she got from the library was too advanced for her. Liang was off, and we had an agreement of meeting today and having a talk.
