Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2024

2024 𝙀𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙤-𝙏𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙞 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙚: 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙮 13 - 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 10

Jimmy has extended the symbolic imagery adorning the Doichi and Echigo-Mizusawa stations even further to the lawns on either sides of the stations, creating a series of miniature 3D stations and spaces that appear unassuming on the outside but contain wonderous sights within. Housing precious belongings and memorabilia lent by the local residents, the miniature exhibition spaces become Jimmy’s stage for telling stories of the distant but unforgettable past.

If you plan to visit the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field this year, don’t forget to step inside the two kamaboko warehouses from 2015 and come on a fantastic journey of imagination inspired by the story of Kiss & Goodbye. After disembarking from that journey, take a walk in the vicinities and explore the theaters of the mind, where you will find your heart yearning for all the things and people you most treasure in your life.
