Overview

The exhibition is based on Jimmy Liao's picture book, All of My World Is You, and uses the most comprehensive virtual reality system provided of the HTC Vive with 360-degree sensors and motion trackers to draw participants into a fantastical world.

The reader is led to follow the little girl, the protagonist of the picture book, into four mysterious rooms from the hotel in the story and meet four fantasy characters: "Episode 1 - The Gardener and the Fat Tree", "Episode 2 - The Monster and the TV", "Episode 3 - The Porter and the Piano", and "Episode 4 - Memories of a Wandering Woman".

Each episode has its own symbolic theme: "Letting go", "Cherishing", "Starting over", and "Choosing to forget". By interacting with these characters and completing the challenges in the experience, we help the little girl cope with loss through a different attitude and gradually overcome the grief of losing her loved one.

The series of episodes made its world debut in October 2016 at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany and was well received by visitors. It was later exhibited at the 2016 and 2017 Taipei International Book Exhibition, 2016 Italy Bologna Children's Book Fair, 2016 6th China International Licensing Expo, 2017 Taipei Viveland, 2017 Taipei Future Business Exhibition, 2017 Beijing "Publishing + VR Integration" Seminar, 2017 Beijing International Book Festival, and the Yinchuan Art Museum Exhibition.
