Touching heads is a sign of intimacy. Jimmy Liao says that this is something that he has always done with his cats, and also something he likes to cover in his works.

In recent years, many of Jimmy's works like sculptures, oil paintings, and columns, would include characters like children, animals, and plants touching heads with each other. These long-awaited works are finally making their debut in Touching & Talking.

Unfortunately, the outbreak of COVID-19 at the beginning of the year has made touching heads a taboo due to social distancing requirements. But it is during these challenging times that intimate actions like this are more treasured than ever.

At a time where distancing is mandatory, Jimmy's works capture the human desire for intimacy. Through the collection of pictures with characters lovingly touching heads with each other, they serve as a projection for interaction people have always had, Heaven is where people can talk freely and unreservedly without misunderstandings.
